We appreciate your decision to use Best Estate Care. By booking or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure your experience is smooth, transparent and compliant with applicable Australian laws.
- Services
We provide a range of services, including deceased estate clearance, downsizing assistance, rubbish removal, donation and recycling coordination, valuations, and the sale of items. Our team will sort, pack, move and dispose of items as agreed with you.
- Client responsibilities
Ensure safe and reasonable access to the premises, notify us of any hazards (such as asbestos or pest infestations), make decisions about what to keep, donate or discard, and settle payments promptly.
- Scope of work and quotes
Our quotes are based on the information you provide during our initial assessment, including the size of the property, volume of belongings and access conditions. If we discover circumstances that substantially change the scope (e.g. unexpected hazardous materials or significantly more items), we will discuss any necessary adjustments with you before proceeding. Unless otherwise specified, quotes are valid for 30 days.
- Property access and preparation
You agree to provide us with keys and any necessary permissions to access the property during the scheduled service. Please ensure utilities are safe and accessible (e.g. electricity and water are connected if needed) and that any pets or occupants are not at risk during our work.
- Payment terms
We accept payment via bank transfer, cash, credit card, or other agreed method. A deposit may be required at the time of booking. Full payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise arranged in writing. Late payments may incur interest or administrative fees.
- Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or change your booking, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled service may incur a fee to cover our costs. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (such as severe weather or safety risks); if this happens, we will work with you to arrange an alternative date.
- Liability and insurance
We take great care when handling your property and belongings, and we carry public liability insurance. However, we cannot be responsible for pre-existing damage or items that were not disclosed during the quote. You agree that we are not liable for any loss arising from circumstances beyond our control.
- Disposal and donation of items
We will dispose of unwanted items ethically, prioritising reuse and recycling wherever possible. Where appropriate, we may donate items to charities or arrange their sale. By engaging us, you authorise us to dispose of or donate items on your behalf. We cannot guarantee the return of donated items or the resale value of goods.
- Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms or from information you provide that is false, misleading or incomplete.
- Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state or territory where the services are provided. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state or territory.
- Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The most current version will be published on our website. Continued use of our services after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
